Multi-Level Systemic Coaching

With MetaSystem's Multi-Level Systemic Coaching, (MLS Coaching), assistance is not limited to top executives or managers; executives, team leaders, managers and teams all benefit. Specialty Pharma Case Study
MetaSystem Consulting Group began an MLS Coaching process with a specialty pharma company with executive coaching involving the SVP of Marketing. While continuing the SVP's coaching we simultaneously began team coaching his direct reports as a team. As needs were assessed from this individual and team coaching, the scope expanded to include executive coaching with key positions among that team.

This initial work surfaced needs in other parts of the system/organization. As part of the multi systemic solution, MetaSystem facilitated Strategic Planning with a cross-functional internal board that included Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, Medical Affairs and HR. As the project developed, MetaSystem began executive coaching with the CEO, and team coaching with his executive team. This work supported a period of accelerated growth, facilitating getting new executives up to speed, and creating a commercial management culture based around the MCG-designed IMPACT program (Innovation, Mastery, Productivity, Accountability, Challenge and Taking ownership). During this period the company went from 125 to 300-plus employees and their stock rose 300%.

Individual and Team Coaching supported an entrepreneur to take his company from a $700,000.00 loss to an average net profit of 12%. What differentiates MLS Coaching from other kinds of coaching?

  • MLS Coaching is similar to individual coaching in that it focuses on accountability and ownership and its impacts on results. The difference is that it is multi-level-it takes place with several individuals and groups at different levels simultaneously throughout the organization.

How does it work?
Multi-Level Systemic Coaching can begin with either the individual or the group.

If your initial needs are around team performance or strategy development, team coaching would be a good first step. From there we can assess the team strength's as well as the individual strength's needed to fulfill team objectives. Once needs are identified, we can begin individual performance/leadership coaching to support team success.

You may be looking for individual leadership coaching. Part of their coaching assessment is to review their team's performance. How their leadership is impacting their team will inform any kind of team coaching that is needed.

To optimize and sustain the results you are looking for, the assessment and coaching process can extend to other teams and/or individuals within the system. They are all connected.
