Equine Faciltated Learning Survey--Top Three Challenges

Thanks to all of you who participated in the recent survey on your EFL practice. It was wonderful to hear from all of you and what you are doing in your work.

For those of you who didn't have the opportunity to complete the survey, here are the top 3 challenges:


  • Getting clients with the resources to do the work
  • Marketing
  • Being able to explain the value of the work to people

Of course there were other challenges but these were by far the most common.

The top 3 solutions were:


  • Public speaking and presenting at conferences
  • Free demos followed up by a series of minimally priced demos
  • Personal coaching and marketing courses

As a result of your responses I have made some changes and additions to Equine Alchemy's programming for 2010.

First I have decided to offer all of our Coach Training programs both as entire programs, as before, and as individual modules I call ARENAS. You can take any or all of them to create the value you need to move your practice forward!

Also, due to the enormous need for ways to get your work and value out into the marketplace, Schelli Whitehouse, an Equine Assisted Coaching graduate http://pegasusunlimited.com, and I are offering a powerful course called 'Attracting the Perfect Clients through the Way of the Horse'. This program begins in February and is based upon your needs and challenges as per your survey answers. It will give you concrete strategies that will help you build your practice to six figures and beyond! Stay tuned for more info on this.

I will continue to do the coaching program with Linda Kohanov in 2010, but we have changed the name to more accurate reflect the content. It is now called 'Coaching Skills through Horse Wisdom' as this course is focused on coaching skills only, not coaching with horses.
